Barbie Dolls

I have inherited 20 Barbie Dolls from my youngest sister-in-law and my daughter. It is time to but them on E-bay because my granddaughter has a large supply of her own and does not want these. My granddaughter while she was here help me go though them. I am missing a lot of clothing. I went out yesterday and bought a book about Barbie Dolls. I am confused about the dates on the backside and the dates in the book. They do not match. I have the clothing and the doll pictured but the dates are not the same. The date on the doll is earlier that the one in the book. Although this is time consuming it has been fun.

I wish my girls had taken better care of their dolls. The is a place called Old Town Spring which is in Spring, Tx (Imagine that) which a lot of people visit. It has all sorts of little stores set up like a little town. One of the ones I like is the doll hospital which also sells lovely old dolls.

I would think there might be some info on the internet. Google can find so much info.

BettyGram! No doubt WIFE of Dr. John! What a DELIGHT to find you in my blog this evening! I didn't even know you had a blog... No doubt you know that your hubby and I run a mutual admiration society - so I'll be up front! I TOTALLY understand why you married the man! (without having to understand why you may sometimes wish you hadn't!) He's a doll and you are blessed -- and I'm quite certain he is blessed with you too!

Now... onto YOUR blog! I was reading all about Lifest! Sounds like that was a lot of fun! I wish we would have something like that here! Getting to hear Casting Crowns AND Steven Curtis Chapman all in one weekend! WOW! I got to hear (and see) Nicole C. Mullen at Women of Faith this year! That was awesome! She performed THREE of my most favorite songs of hers! A funny story about Switchfoot... I had never heard of them until I was riding in my SON's car one day and they came on. I listened. And then I looked at Derek. None of my children are Christians. I said Derek, who is this band? He said they're called Switchfoot. I asked "are they a Christian band?"... he said "I don't know. I don't listen to their words. I just like their music!" OY! He must have listened the next time though - cuz he doesn't listen to Switchfoot anymore! Me and my BIG mouth! UGH!

Betty, please dO come back and visit me again! I've enjoyed our time together!

How nice of you to visit me, and to cleave a comment.

I had a Sindy doll, and my sister had Barbie, Ken, and loads of stuff. I wonder what happened to it all. You may be confused by the book, but I bet you had fun!

Good luck selling your Barbie Dolls. I used to have a good dozen or so but gave them away to my niece.

I sure wished I had them now.
