Source of Gunshots Found

There is a animal hospital and a groomer with it about three blocks from our house. Maggie needs her nails cut badly, and my daughter and I are afraid to do it. My daughter used Petko last time. I kept saying why don't we go to the place close to us. My daughter called and had to leave a message. No call back. So I thought Maggie and I would walk down to the hospital and make an appointment in person. As we approached the hospital shots rang out. Maggie stopped dead, and then made a movement to head back home at top speed. I looked up and to the right across the road. There were two or maybe three men with guns pointed toward us, but up in the air. In front of them a flock of geese flew upward with loud honking and a flutter of wings. It was a heart stopping moment. I then dragged Maggie back and towards the hospital. She was happy at the arrival at the hospital for she could see and hear and smell other dogs.We entered the building and there were two women at the desk. I asked if I could make an appointment to have Maggie groomed and they said that the grooming lady was not in but she had her phone with her. They gave me her number. I went back home and there were no more shots at that time. I called the number and got a answering machine. I left a message. Still no call back. I guess they do not want our business.

Customer service in our country has gotten outta control bad! Nobody seems to care if they get (or keep) your business or not. Maybe this is God's plan with a depression for us -- maybe our society has gotten so RICH and so SPOILED that He needs to reel us back in... Teach us to appreciate what we have and to appreciate OTHERS! Could be...

So hunting geese is in season huh? Even in the CITY? Wow! Even out here in the country we have rules about not firing a gun within so many yards of a house or business. I think that's kind of weird...

Perhaps the groomer will still call. I am glad you found the source of the gunshots...my goodness...what a way to spend the day.

As far as the film goes, my friend's son said he will try to get us a cd of the finished film. I still can not get over how well Luke did. How come I can get him to stay in that bed for two hours but not his own bed for more than ten minutes?

My gosh, what if a goose fell out of the sky and landed on top of your head!!

Oh, I know the answer to that. Dinner!! I'd prep it then freeze it for Thanksgiving.

Betty ~ Glad that you found the source of the Gun Shots this should make it easier for you now. Customer Service sure isn't what it used to be. It seems like most don't care anymore. Hopefully the groomer has called you back since you posted this entry.

A Blessed Day is wished for you and Dr John.

Gun shots!? Yikes, what if a goose landed on you? Maybe the groomer was busy. Hopefully she has a time when she returns calls.

I wish people would stop killing the wildlife. I was okay with it if it was the only way a family could get food. But I doubt that anyone would starve if they put their guns away. It is hard to believe that they could be shooting that close to where people are walking around.

People who take messages and don't call back are one of my pet peeves. Makes you wonder how they stay in business, huh?
