Memorial Day

Please take time to remember why we have this holiday. BBQs and vacation as summer begins is not the reason but to honor those who served this country and lost their lives. When we lived up North we had a parade. I have not found any information on a service or parade in this area but I could have missed it.

Yes, Betty. We need to remember that men fought and died so that we could have the freedoms we so take for granted -- and seem to be mindlessly giving away.

Wishing you and Dr John a wonderful Memorial Day. Yes Betty one must remember our Veterans and the poor souls who didn't come back that kept us free.

We in Canada remember on 11 November, but come Monday I will take a moment to remember my Uncle Jim and Uncle Sam who helped keep our Country free.

A Blessed Sunday is wished for you and Dr John. Thank you for stopping by my Blog today.

Nice thoughts. We stayed home but I looked out the window around because I heard an unusually loud plane engine sound. As I looked up, I saw three fighter jets on their way to or from a ceremony from their base at Ellington Field.
