I can blog.

I have not been able to get here to blog. My screen went white and moved no further.
Happy Easter!
I went with my daughter to see at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center" Little House on the Prairie"the Musical with Melissa Gilbert as "Ma". It was very good, but Melissa Gilbert did not perform. We went in the afternoon maybe that is why.
Pennie took me out to Red Lobster for my birthday. She does not like fish but she went anyway.
We also took a trip down to Madison to see my grandson get a certificate of honor. My son's X had the kids but she let them come out with us and my son for supper.
Pennie and I had Easter dinner alone, baloney sandwich, but the day before we were at Red Lobster. We did not need any more food.
Easter felt different. I went to Maundy Thursday service, Good Friday service and Easter. The Education Committee filled bags on Saturday and hid them Sunday for the kids. Toddlers got small stuffed animals and animal crackers placed in a very large plastic egg. The bible campers prepared and served Easter breakfast.

Me toooo - what Quilly said! I bet Easter WAS different for you this year. I know how much Dr. John LOVED this day of celebration - and I'm sure not having him here to celebrate with was hard. And now I wonder... there are no tears in heaven... so he must NOT be sad that you didn't "celebrate" without him... but it seems like that is something he would WANT you to do. However... I can surely see how having been out to Red Lobster the night before would make you feel no need for another big meal. But why didn't you guys go up to Peter's for Easter? I am surprised you didn't spend the day with more family...

Did you get a chance to read about my Maundy Thursday Seder? I told about it on last weeks Friday Fave Five. Have you ever attended a seder?

Welcome back Betty and a very Happy Belated Birthday. Sounds like you had a good time and have been keeping busy. I'm sure that Easter was hard for you and the family. Baloney sandwiches sound wonderful.

I have to tell you a funny thing happened on my blog. I put in the Disqus comment system and it brought over only one comment and it was from Dr. John. I was astounded and it brought back so many found memories. I guess he still is watching out over us all :)
