Christmas

Merry Christmas
I have not been able to get on the Internet. Peter fixed it on Christmas when he came down.
We had a nice Christmas with more to come when Pat and the boys come tomorrow. Decorating was haphazard. Pennie thought that cleaning was more important than decorating. I got a tree up and one drawer of balls on it,and the star on top. I got a new fibre optics tree and John had a train that also glowed in different colors. I put them on top of the bookshelf. When Luke saw them, he suggested that I get them to move with music. His Grandfather would have loved that.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Oh yea... Dr. John would have driven himself mad trying to get it JUSSSSST right - but he'd have LOVED it! LOL!I have to agree with Pennie this year... I only HALF decorated for Christmas - never did put up the TREE - and then wished I hadn't even started. Now I still have HALF the decorations up... and next year I'm just NOT doing it! We celebrate at Amanda's house now! I'll put out a Nativity on the front table and that will be ALL the Christmas I need!

WE have a new GRANDBABY at my house! Come see!!!

It is nice seeing you on the blog again Betty. Dr John did like his trains, I am sure he liked what you did.

Wishing you and the family a Wonderful 2011

I remember the pictures on Dr John's blog of your tree with the train running around it... It's not easy sometimes to know how much to try and keep old traditions vs trying to create new ones. Sounds to me like you found a good compromise.

I have recently moved or rather started over my blog (previously The Island of the Voices) at a new blog address: Beyond the Lone Islands
